Egypt celebrates the reopening of the Avenue of Sphinxes (Kebash Road) in Luxor on 25 November 2021. Dr. Khaled El-Anany, Minister of Tourism and antiquities has invited Egyptian and foreign dignitaries to attend the celebration ceremony of the completion of major restoration work on the road and the temples of Karnak and Luxor.
The Avenue of the Sphinxes stretches 2,700 meters (2.7 km) between the ancient Karnak and Luxor temples with hundreds of ram-headed statues, and sphinxes statues on both sides.
The ceremony will be live-streamed at 7:30 PM (Cairo Local Time)
